THE EAAB NO LONGER ACCEPTS CHEQUE PAYMENTS
ESTATE AGENCY AFFAIRS BOARD STAFF; ESTATE AGENTS / PRINCIPALS
All Estate Agency Affairs Board (EAAB) staff, estate agents and stakeholders and new applicants are hereby informed that, with effect from 1 December 2011, the EAAB will no longer be accepting any payments made by cheque.
Any one of the following alternative payment options may be utilised:
- cash payments made directly at the cashier’s desk;
- POS payments using debit- or credit cards made at the cashier’s desk;
- EFT payments made directly into the relevant EAAB bank account;
- direct deposits made into the relevant EAAB bank account.
N.B. Estate agents may only use the seven (7) digit reference number allocated by the EAAB when either making EFT payments or direct deposits to the EAAB (Estate agents are, if necessary, urged to communicate with the EAAB call centre at (011) 731 5600 to confirm the reference number before effecting any payments).
Failure to comply with the above procedures may result in a delay in the processing and allocation of payments.
