Study Guide For The Professional Estate Agent: NQF Level Four

The “Study Guide for the Professional Estate Agent: NQF Level 4” aligns fully with the requirements of the Further Education and Training Certificate: Real Estate, the prescribed SAQA qualification for non-principal estate agents. The study guide was always intended to be as “user-friendly” as possible and it deals with often complex concepts in a way that facilitates the understanding and assimilation of the material and which also, hopefully, encourages further reading, debate and research on relevant topics of interest to estate agents. The work has been fully contextualised towards the practical estate agency environment that is likely to be encountered by estate agents in the workplace on a daily basis while the multiple practical activities that form an integral component of the material not only conform to outcomes-based education requirements but also offer valuable and sensible insights to learners. The research projects and interviewing requirements that must be complied with can only stand estate agents in good stead in conducting their estate agency functions and activities with professionalism, knowledge and integrity. The study guide, in addition, contains an extensive glossary which has been specifically designed to assist learners in obtaining a full understanding of the general content of the work and in guiding them to appreciate some of the most appropriate and important principles of estate agency. It is, perhaps, unfortunate that, due to the style necessarily adopted in the writing of unit standards, or the individual modules that make up the qualification as a whole, there will inevitably be a measure of duplication in the work. On the positive side, however, this duplication can yet serve a valuable purpose by reinforcing, and often complimenting, the knowledge previously gained by the learner estate agent.  The study guide, at the end of the day, comprises a comprehensive, authoritative and indispensable reference work that is a must for all learners and already practicing estate agents. The EAAB will ensure that the two volumes comprising the work are as affordably priced as possible so that the work is easily accessible to all, learners and practicing estate agents alike, who can be assured that they will receive excellent value for money.
