Factsheet NQF Level 4

The Accreditation Of Training Providers

In a concerted endeavour to ensure that as many training providers and Recognition of Prior Learning centres as possible are duly accredited by both the Services SETA and the EAAB, an advance copy of the Study Guide has been made available by the EAAB to in excess of twenty prospective education providers to enable them, in the first instance, to apply for accreditation with the Services SETA and,

thereafter, with the EAAB. One of the conditions attaching to the furnishing of the material was that the prospective education providers would do everything necessary or required by the Services SETA to expedite the accreditation process. The Services SETA, for its part, will be actively assisting in facilitating the accreditation process by producing the required Recognition of Prior Learning instruments as well as the facilitator’s, assessor’s and moderator’s guides that are an integral part of the accreditation process. The EAAB is also presently negotiating with a number of educational institutions, all of whom are already duly accredited with both UMALUSI, the quality assurance body concerned, and the Department of Education, for the presentation of the Further Education and Training Certificate: Real Estate. The EAAB is, thus, confident that there are sufficient accredited education providers and RPL centres in place both for the presentation of the non-principal’s qualification to all new entrants into the estate agency profession as well as for undertaking the Recognition of Prior Learning assessments for those estate agents who had already been issued with valid fidelity fund certificates by the EAAB as at 15 July 2008.
