FIDELITY FUND CERTIFICATES UNCLAIMED
The Estate Agency Affairs Board (EAAB) has compiled an updated list of Fidelity Fund Certificates that have been returned as unclaimed by estate agents from the various Post Office outlets. In this regard, the EAAB has made every effort to ensure that agents are aware of such unclaimed FFCs . If your company name appears on this list, we request that you urgently contact the EAAB to make arrangements to either re-post or to collect your FFC.

In terms of postage of FFC's, they will only be sent to the registered company postal address, therefore it is very important that Principals ensure that their firm's postal addresses are verified with the EAAB, as the Board will not be held responsible for any FFC not received by the agent. ... click for more

CHEQUE PAYMENTS
All Estate Agency Affairs Board (EAAB) staff, estate agents and stakeholders and new applicants are hereby informed that, with effect from 1 December 2011, the EAAB will no longer be accepting any payments made by cheque.
Any one of the following alternative payment options may be utilised:
Failure to comply with the above procedures may result in a delay in the processing and allocation of payments.

We encourage you to register by completing the application form and sending them together with all supporting documents and proof of payment to pde@eaab.org.za or feel free to register at our Hyde Park, Johannesburg office where you will be allocated an exam/seat number immediately. NOTIFICATION
REVISED AUDITOR'S REPORT FORM
The Estate Agency Affairs Board (the EAAB) approved a revised auditor's report on estate agents trust accounts on 11 August 2011 that is required to be submitted to the Board annually by all estate agents, within four months of an estate agents financial year end, in order to be granted their licence to practice. The revised auditor's report has been prepared in consultation with the Committee for Auditing Standards of the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (the IRBA) and replaces the existing auditor's report on estate agents trust accounts.
The revised auditors report is effective from 01 September 2012 when reporting on estate agents trust accounts for the 2011 financial period end.
