Lillibeth Moolman
Mrs. Moolman holds the degree of B.A. (Hons.) U.E.D. from Rhodes University. She is Chairperson of the South African National Consumer Union (SANCU). Mrs. Moolman has contributed her time, knowledge and energy as a voluntary worker with various Non-Governmental Organisations particularly as a consumer activist and is the editor of the SANCU Consumer booklet viz. “The Self-Help Approach to Consumer problems” now in its 6th edition and associate editor of the consumer text book, ‘Buy Right’ Consumer Guide for South Africa now in its 2nd edition
Mrs. Moolman serves as a consumer representative on various agricultural industry Forums and Trusts. The National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC), the Agricultural Produce Agents Council (APAC), the Winter Cereals Development Trust and the Potato Industry Development Trust and is a council member of the Council of the Short-Term Insurance Ombudsman. She has received awards twice from the Minister of Trade and Industry in the category ‘Individual Champion for Consumer Rights’ and is a recipient of the ‘Paul Harris Fellow Award’ from the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
