Wendy Machanik
Wendy Machanik has been in the Real Estate and Property Industry/Profession since 1975. Ms Machanik established her own company, Wendy Machanik Properties in 1989. Previously she held the position of buyer for Greatermans for 6 years, the buyer for Weil & Ascheim for 4 years (clothing manufacturers).
Ms Machanik holds an Advanced Diploma In Real Estate and is currently studying for Level 7 PGDIP (Business Leadership) at the University of Cape Town. [UCT] – referred to as the ‘mini-MBA’. She is an experienced property negotiator and real estate sales director; Founder and Managing Director of Wendy Machanik Properties – A large Property Enterprise in Gauteng. Ms Machanik sits on the main Board of Directors for the Estate Agency Affairs Board; is Chairperson of the Education & Training Committee for the Estate Agency Affairs Board; SETA – National Chamber Board; Chairperson – Illovo East Residence and Rate Payers Assoc.; Director of the Star Property Guide JV; Founding member of the National Association of Real Estate Agents. NAREA - now merged into the IEASA – and has consequently resigned.
Wendy Machanik has a particular passion for, and is deeply committed towards, the education and training of new entrants (with particular focus on HDI’s and helping them enter the Real Estate Profession/Industry. Wendy Machanik Properties - HDI - 40% of her agents currently are People of Colour. Her Passion lies in furthering the interests of Black Economic Empowerment & Compliance with the Property Charter. Pinnacle Award - Highest Recognition for participation beyond the call of duty in the real estate industry 2008.
